In Faith Network Presents: Rachael Lampa

We’re happy to say that Rachael Lampa is back!

And Sheila English and I were thrilled to chat with her on our show about the re-launch of her music career. It’s always nice to visit with guests who are talented and honest and gracious. And Rachael Lampa was all of those things!

Rachael talked about what made her step away from her career for a while and what made her come back. She also told us about the people who helped her with her career, her musical influences, and how God comes first in her life. You don’t want to miss this wonderfully candid interview with Rachael Lampa!

Here’s a snippet from Rachael’s bio:

Rachael Lampa skyrocketed onto the pop scene in 2000 as a mere teenager amassing four number one singles, five more top ten tunes, plus appearances on “The Tonight Show,” “The View,” “Entertainment Tonight,” “E!,” “Extra” and Teen People. Add in a soundtrack slot on A Walk To Remember, an acting role in Hidden Secrets, a duet with Aaron Neville, plus tour time with Destiny’s Child, Boyz II Men, Nickel Creek, Amy Grant, Vince Gill and even Jordin Sparks (as a supporting singer on her stints alongside The Jonas Brothers and Britney Spears), and the powerhouse vocalist/songwriter became an internationally recognized face in less than a half decade.

Here’s more about Rachael on her website at:

Interview with Gina Holmes, Founder of Inspire a Fire

This month we interviewed author, Gina Holmes. Gina is the President and founder of Inspire a Fire and Novel Rocket and award-winning author of Crossing Oceans and Dry as Rain. In 1998, Gina began her career penning articles and short stories. Ten years and a stack of rejection letters later, she held her first published novel. She holds degrees in science and nursing and currently resides with her husband and children in southern Virginia. Gina says she works too hard, laughs too loud, and longs to see others heal from their past and discover their God-given purpose.

We discussed Gina’s long and bumpy road as a writer, and the amazing success she’s had with her debut novel, Crossings Oceans. Gina talks about how real life gets into her novels, who influences her work, and her latest novel, Dry as Rain, which covers the topic of infidelity. Our main host, Sheila English said to Gina, “Infidelity is a tough subject…to write about, to read about, and as a Christian, to talk about. So often we just want to draw a line in the sand and say “If you do THAT it’s all over” and then move away from the topic. Do you feel God lead you to write about this topic specifically?” You won’t want to miss Gina’s answer.

InFaith 11-22-11

Here’s a brief summary of Gina’s new novel, Dry as Rain:

When Eric and Kyra Yoshida first met, they thought their love would last forever. But like many marriages, theirs has gradually crumbled, one thoughtless comment and misunderstanding at a time, until the ultimate betrayal pushes them beyond reconciliation. Though Eric longs to reunite with Kyra, the only woman he has truly loved, he has no idea how to repair the damage that’s been done. Then a car accident erases part of Kyra’s memory—including her separation from Eric—and a glimmer of hope rises from the wreckage. Is this a precious opportunity for the fresh start Eric has longed for? Does he even deserve the chance to find forgiveness and win back Kyra’s heart. . .or will the truth blow up in his face, shattering their last hope for happiness?

To learn more about Gina Holmes and her novels, visit her online at www.ginaholmes.com.

Gina also started, Novel Rocket, which is a wonderful website full of great advice for writers, author interviews, and valuable resources to help writers get their novels off the ground. Visit Novel Rocket at http://www.novelrocket.com/.

Plus, check out Gina’s powerful new ministry website, Inspire a Fire at http://www.inspireafire.com/. Their mission statement is, “We believe one person has the power to make a huge difference in the world and eternity. Sometimes it only takes one match, one spark, to ignite an inferno of change.”

Hope you enjoy our interview with Gina Holmes!

Chris Well

E-Books have reached almost all genres including Christian Lit. Tonight we talk to two guests who give us insight on what they and their companies are doing to support Christian Lit on e-books.

Chris Well is an award winning author whose laugh out loud mysterious include Nursing a Grudge and Burying the Hatchet. Chris is also the mastermind and editor behind the popular e-zine Family Fiction. He loves to get his characters, who have quirky personalities, into awkward situations.

She discusses her thoughts on the future of e-books and where printed books will be in the next 20 years.
